Okay, I was finally able to get sound to come from XMMS, but it doesn't look like anything else is working. Maybe someone could help me configure the rest of Ubuntu based on my XMMS plugin...
Has anybody had any luck getting optical sound out of an NVidia CK8S Alsa (also has Realtek AC'97 OSS)? I've been banging my head against the wall getting it to work :(
