  2. [ubuntu] Re: Help please on Boot time - Bootchart attached

That image appears to be illegibly small. If your using a separate home partition i'd suggest a fresh install (Not a great solution I realise).

    See format in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_agent

  6. [ubuntu] Re: Replacing user passwords or using already encrypted passwords

Well then as far as im aware if you have successfully copied all those files from one machine to the next it *should* work.

The smarter move would be to filter out system accounts (ie only copy...
  7. [ubuntu] Re: Replacing user passwords or using already encrypted passwords

No Worries. Another consideration is are they all running the same OS? ie You haven't got a case of several different hash functions in use?
  8. [ubuntu] Re: Replacing user passwords or using already encrypted passwords

  9. [all variants] Re: Websites which discriminate about your Operating System

As far as I know there is no requirement in HTTP standards to send a user-agent.

    [EDIT] Guess I was wrong
  11. [ubuntu] Re: Replacing user passwords or using already encrypted passwords

I presume you don't have root access to the second machine? It either sounds like you have forgotten a root password, or are trying to access something you shouldn't!
    If the passwords are "common"...
  12. [all variants] Re: Websites which discriminate about your Operating System

When your browser sends a request it sends a set of headers followed by the "operation".
So by changing those headers you tell the machine at the other end whatever you like.

    The only way it...

  14. [ubuntu] Re: Volume Increase while viewing Full screen

try holdin esc while opening fullscreen, sometimes takes me a couple of attempts for it to stay open but when it does volume notifications no longer close it
does disable exiting fullscreen with esc
  15. [all variants] Re: Hate that Flash exits fullscreen when adjusting volume? DO SOMETHING about it!

I have found that holding esc when fullscreening can 90% of the time solve the issue.
i find it can sometimes take 2-3 times before it will open fullscreen doing this, but when it will it will stay...
