  2. Re: What is the best domain root directory permission for shared hosting?

Thank you. Lot to look into and try to understand there. Can you give me two exceptions where 777 is not bad? Just curious.
  3. What is the best domain root directory permission for shared hosting?

I'm working on a shared hosting LAMP server using Ubuntu 14.04. I am assuming that I should have each domain's root directory (ie. /var/www/public_html/domain.com for example) as 0755 (owner...
  4. Re: Trouble with getting Apache suexec to work

Ok, I've looked into mpm-itk and even tried it. That did the same things as my OP. And it's I guess no longer supported(??) so that's not an option. I've heard of mod_privileges but that's for...

    Re: Apache Setup Questions

Looking at it again, #2 won't work. Because scripts will still be writing as group www-data when I would want them to be domain.com for example.
