    You can get that error "Missing Operating System", when booting from a USB when it hasn't been formatted correctly before transferring the OS to it.

    If you find it make sure your browser is closed then open the file in a text editor and look for "protocols" and...

    10.04 is not Unity. More than likely your Window Manager is Meta-City.....if you don't know what a window manager is....then it's Meta-City. :) Try another theme if you've been theme swapping.
