    [lubuntu] Re: Lost shutdown Icon

This may sound silly however I had this issue in Gnome2 at one time due to a corrupt GTK theme.. try switching out your theme. You never know.
  2. Re: Changing permissions for all files on my mp3 players

That's fine, however I do recommend setting them as 666 and NOT 777 - There is no reason for an MP3 to be set executable. 7 = Read/write and execute.

I would also verify the integrity of your installation CD in case the ISO you burned was corrupted.. this certainly sounds like a possibility with what you have described.

[ubuntu] Re: Ubuntu install messed up grub

Oh, I should mention.. Rescue mode (last I checked) is only available on the ALT-Install disk, which is a good idea to keep a copy of at all times.

    Request: Username Change

I'd like to request a username change.

    Choices in order:

    1. Routh
    2. Routhinator

I know number 2 will be available if the first one isn't, so have omitted a third.
