    No i never have that on, it's one of the first things i check before using a PC as there is nothing more annoying than typing a long bit of text only to look up and find it all in capitals. :)

    fsck -yf /dev/sda1
    then pressed enter
    let it do it's thing then just rebooted, it found and fixed a few errors and am now back into my Ubuntu...

    Hold down start and left shift button to start up Laptop.
    Scroll down to 2nd option "Advanced options for ubuntu"
