Or just use quotes, which I find easier:
cd "/home/lee/Desktop/DPO blah blah
Or you can just type the first part then use the TAB key to complete the filename with escape chars.
If you're putting a slash in front of it, there's your problem. If you want to use a slash, be sure to put the slash after. The slash before indicates the directory you want to change to is in root.
I just answered a similar thread yesterday:

You should be able to
cd / if you are a standard user. If you are not an administrator and the administrator disabled read permissions to /, there is no way unless you have the admin password. In...
You need to capitalize 'Desktop'. Like mentioned above, file names are case sensitive.
This reminds me of when I was trying to use the Windows command line and nothing existed.
To see what directory you are in you can always use
pwd
if you are uncertain.
I have the exact same problem with my netbook. I used unetbootin to create a supposedly bootable flash drive from an iso file and my ASUS eeePC netbook won't boot from it. It did this with both Arch...

What I had to do to rename my Sansa was to reformat the entire device with a new name. I used gparted if I remember correctly.
I think he's asking what distro would be best.
I'm not a big gamer, but when I do get on Nexuiz or other games, the Linux users I meet are usually using Mint. I don't know if that's the best one...
Whenever I try to use download helper to convert flv to anything, it fails. So I always use ffmpeg or Sound Converter (from Ubuntu Software Center) to convert it.
No problem. But like I said above, you might wanna try Songbird if you have a ton of streams to manage. I'm pretty sure Rhythmbox can do this too.
Try right-clicking on the 'live stream' link and go to 'save link as'. Then open that file with Totem or VLC or any other application of your choice.
Totem movie player opened it fine for me right off the bat. I just clicked the 'live stream' link at the top and Firefox asked me what to open it with and 'Movie Player' was in there by default. I...
I'm looking for some video editing and DVD creating software. It doesn't matter to me if these two applications are two separate apps or one big one. I just need something to get the job done. The...
Isn't m3u a playlist format? Couldn't you just open it with Rhythmbox?
Well both hidden commands there are ssh commands. I hid them to protect my server information. Are ssh-keygens considered environmental variables? That might be the problem I'm having.
I wrote my first cronjob today using crontab -e. But it seems it didn't work. Is there some activation process I have to go through once I write the file? Here's what I have in the crontab:

Thanks for the replies guys. The commands you gave me worked perfectly.
I'm trying to create a cronjob that simply uploads a file to a server then runs a command through ssh. Here are the commands that I would run in a Terminal:
scp /home/user/path/to/file...
Might wanna try libimobiledevice:

I don't know if it has the feature you're looking for but it seems to be the most functionable iPod/iPhone program out there.
Hello Ubuntu Forums
I had an idea that might attract more users to Linux. It's a site called Open Source Ads.
If I get enough users to support me and help me out, I will create Open Source...
Back when I used the integrated ATI graphics that came with my motherboard, the monitor would constantly flash. When I added an Nvidia not only did the flashing stop but it seemed that most of the...
