I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and Toneport UX1. Trying to get sound to work over headphones. Is that my problem? Should I use a different channel?
I get the same error message. Installation was no problem. Does anybody know what might be wrong?
Sorry for the late reply.
Please try setting System->Preferences->Appearance->Visual Effects to None.
I used to use gconf-editor to set it under gnome---applications---window-manager---default...
Try :
metacity --replaceI think that did the trick, when I had the same problem.
