Hello,
I am running Ubuntu 10.04.2 and I have noticed I don't have the software to purchase option in the software centre? Can someone advise how I add it - I'm sure when I normally install it is...
I had dialogue along those lines years ago - would it have been MySql AB at the time? Anyway I cannot remember who initialised the dialogue, but the same points cropped up.
I'm currently looking...
In 10.04 I had to unmount the drive then wait a few moments. Subsequently the modem was detected and appeared in the list of available networks.

Hi
There was a thread recently about the new lemur, and I am sure the battery life was stated as around 4 hours.

I would probably get one for the sake of it, if they ever saw the light of day.
Realistically though would Canonical want to engage in the patent wars around those devices? In the event they...
I reckon apple have more leverage in terms of units shipped and media profile - and they until recently were close to the bottom of 'green' companies probably due to the reasons you mention.

hello,
does xubuntu or lubuntu etc offer any gain in terms of how long you can expect your laptop battery to last on one charge?
I hear of them being lighter in terms of system resources but...

Hi
I was wondering what motivates S76 to focus upon supporting the latest ubuntu releases? Doesn't this generate an awful lot of teething trouble for the S76 team every few months?

Here is a clevo review (not specific to linux or any os)...
yes its a case of posting '50' times, not convinced by this entirely but I presume the admin staff are best qualified to specify those rules.

presume this move is to encourage uptake? presumably beyond apple devices?

I completely switched over a year ago. The change in terms of apps was fine but I ran into a couple of problems during updates when pm-utils and laptop mode got into conflict and kept spinning down...
is there a nice tutorial on how to setup xfce? I hear good things about it but didnt like how it looked by default and was bewildered by some of the configuration options :)

I was under the impression some people had installed ubuntu on tablets,
http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/06/ekoore-announce-two-new-tablets-running-ubuntu-11-04/
Never tried myself but very...
maybe you should try 10.04 or 10.10?

I don't know the S76 policy on this but I have seen battery degradation kick in less than year depending how often it charges/discharges etc. I guess we have to grateful we can usually source spare...
moving the launcher around would be nice but we need a menu driven interface too, I fear there is not enough time for 12.04 to hit the ground running and please everyone

did you manage to get vcdat working?
M.
isn't there off the shelf software you could use for this? or is it more an exercise in programming?
