Hey,
I need help (well, who don't).
Windows wrecked my extended partition (which had a few logical volumes) and I don't know how I could restore them O_O
Some information about my System...
I've tried this soundcard on lucid lynx...
I get only Sound on Rear in the Surround (4.0) configuration. Also if I set to 5.1.
But there's a warning! If you started linux with the creative driver...
Due to this fact (that b43 only works right after loading and unloading bcmwl) I think that b43 either doesn't load the NIC right or there is a firmware conflict.
Only an idea that I thougt.

Yes, with "I tried the tutorial on the first page and the link..." I ment your link.
I skipped the installation of bcmwl cause it made me problems from the first day. (The os hangs.)
I haven't...
I have now installed kubuntu karmic koala (9.10) and getting the DMA error.
I tried the tutorial on the first page and the link... nothing worked neither on lucid nor on karmic...
Any idea?
I also...

I don't know how to remove depencies, so...
Monitor Mode -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monitor_mode
I've compiled a custom kernel based on the official stable 2.6.32.8 kernel.
Installed and it worked.
Now the driver (b43) works too, but...
With this you can use nearly every Wireless NIC.
But with that you can't use the Monitor mode, promiscues (or something like this)...
Also I tried the STA driver and everytime the PC hangs. Now...
I'm running Lucid beta, w/ 2.6.32-13.18 kernel (updated today from 2.6.32-13) and it don't want to work.
I'll compile the 2.6.32-8 kernel and try it then.
Another thing. Could it be that...
Hello,
I've got a Dell 1555 with the same Wireless NIC.
I'm having the same error as above.
And if I'm trying the tutorial in the first post, I get a "b43-phy0 ERROR: MAC suspend failed" (in PIO...
