    Re: Most realistic flight sim?

XPlane desktop version is the one to get, you're looking at the FAA certified version which is intended for flyingschools computer based instrument training. That price is basically for the...

    Re: Most realistic flight sim?

Akaik FSX will not work on linux. XPlane is one I've been using for a long time now and is on par with FSX (some argue better) in terms of realism.

It is more technical and a steeper learning...

Had this problem too after moving hard drives around.
Was spamming rsyslog -c4 like mad and it was corrected when I fixed my 'fstab' to match the new hdd layout.

Re: [WoW with wine] OpenGL hw cursor PATCH

Jaunty and karmic have the repeat issue, I'm not sure on previous releases. Disabling repeat in the xserver kind of fixed it as it disabled repeating altogether. Not all wine apps had the issue but...

Also thought I'd mention (slightly off this topic) if you're rebuilding Wine it's worthwhile doing this patch as well to fix the keyboard repeat issue:

Re: [WoW with wine] OpenGL hw cursor PATCH

Confirming this works with latest Wine 1.1.31 in Karmic 64b 9.10, followed Docs instructions patching Wine src and building it, no problems so far just tooling around in Dal.

    This OpenGL hardware...

[ubuntu] Re: Making Conky Show What Songbird Is Playing

Nice find there, I was getting a headache trying to figure this one out.
The tweeter thing works fine. It's also possible to have long lines scroll in Conky with the ${scroll} tag so you don't have...

That's pretty much correct, I removed a windows user in Vista (not a Ubuntu one). I had the My Documents/My Pictures etc pointing to my /home/user folder on another partition which worked quite well...

    [ubuntu] dd is slow

Long story short I lost my home directory. I was removing a user from Vista and despite telling it to keep the files, it seemed to remove them anyway, around 100g.

    Pretty sure it's using usb2...

[ubuntu] Re: Font viewer in 8.10?

  18. [ubuntu] Re: F Spot safe to delete /Photos folder?

Thanks for finding that, I'll copy them to dvd to be safe, but it looks like it makes copies to the /Photos folder and I can get rid of them.

[ubuntu] Re: no: command not found

That did the trick, I had to install 'mono-gmcs' before I created this thread to get it to configure.

However, 'mono-mcs' allowed the build to succeed now, thanks a lot :)
