I have a SATA SSD UEFI system with 5.8.1 installed. It works just fine.
On a side note, Arch Linux updated to the 5.8.1 kernel a few days ago:

Turns out my 18.04 install had this same issue. That should solve it and I updated the Wiki.

I was able to install Groovy in UEFI mode with a bootable USB I made on Windows 10 with Rufus last night. It was the latest available Xubuntu 20.10 ISO.
