    So i just commented out the line within the psmouse.modprobe file, and strangely enough, the touchpad still works, and side scrolling is now enabled!!

    When i placed the new kernel into the boot loader, it corrected ALOT of the issues i was having with the upgrade, however it didn't correct the sound issue.
