Re: RC Helicopters and Planes. Anyone Here?

The biggest plane I have ever owned was a 17.5' B-17 bomber, which was built out of aluminum with aluminum and silk covering. My Dad and I built it when I was 13 to fly in shows. The plane was...

Re: RC Helicopters and Planes. Anyone Here?

My daughter and myself both fly glow fuel. She has a ugly stick and a senior telemaster. We built both of them. The ugly stick is covered in silk. I wanted to teach her how it used to be done. I...
  5. Re: Asus needs hard drive to resolder power jack

We do require the whole unit for any service. Nothing personal, but we also don't take the word of the customer as to what is actually wrong with the unit. But we also UPS red a replacement unit or...
  6. Re: Researcher: CIA, NSA may have infiltrated Microsoft to write malware

I still just see smoke here no direct facts, even after looking at the senators pages and statements. It's easy to assume and fill in the blanks. People need to make up their minds. Either the NSA...
  7. Re: Researcher: CIA, NSA may have infiltrated Microsoft to write malware

Sounds to me like they are just writing something to be writing it and then giving it a sensational headline to drive up hits.
  8. Re: newegg will not refund computers that have Linux installed if hardware is faulty

Nope didn't confuse me at all, the part about Apple was the main point.
  9. Re: newegg will not refund computers that have Linux installed if hardware is faulty

This is incorrect on the warranty part. We have been IBM/Lenovo customers for years and never had issues with warranty when changing the OS, we have sent in a few with Fedora or Debian installed...

    Re: CCTV Camera

We mainly use wireless cameras for temporary locations or hard to get to locations. For other locations we will use analog with Baluns. We use Brickcom for wireless, they have the best track record...

Met April 88, married July 88. 4 kids of our own, adopted 2, fostered 38 others over the years. Only thing I would change is to meet my wife sooner.

[other] Re: Is this server legit? Good?

It's also about a 50 to 60LB server that makes a lot of noise with all of the fans running. Here is the break down on the one you listed from IBM.

Poll: Re: The Community Cafe Rules

I agree, the rules are fine the way they are. It would be hard for me to refer people here if there was not the level of moderation there is.

Re: Ideas how to make HP cooperate?

We had a similar story to this in 2000 with HP. My wife purchased a desktop and it went back and fourth with them for about 3 months. It would boot up and run for about an hour then lockup and on...

  18. Re: New iPad and the iPad 2: Can you really tell the difference?

Actually I'll disagree with you on this point. We just had our first ever Apple product come through from a friend for repair. After spending 4 hours with it and with 2 Apple employees via chat, we...
