What are the specs of your computer? My 6 year old PC could play all of those games.
What does his Home have to do with .Trash on a seperate drive? It's not Windows... there isn't a limit to the size of the files being deleted.
They would be in a .Trash folder if you just deleted them

Yes RAID6 is fine... but why use a spare when you have 4 drives? I never said RAID10 is always the best solution. I just recommended it over RAID5 with a spare. RAID6 with a spare might be a good...
That would be a bit of a complicated setup in terms of the file server. You can set up mirrors of the data so that it is updated instantly but if bandwidth is an issue that's not going to work....
