    I have just bought a Wacom Bamboo Pen and it worked like a charm on my Ubuntu Jaunty. Everything works in absolute mode but whenever I switch to "relative" mode the presure does not work anymore....

    For me what it gave a boost to Firefox was disabling ipv6. It seems there where a lot of people complaining about slow firefox related to this issue but I would never have thought about it.

    Here is how to compile it yourself:

    apt-get install libglib2.0-dev
    apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev (will install a lot of dependencies)
    apt-get install libxml2-dev
    #at this point it will compile...
