I didn't go back or forward or sideways. I use them both (Windows, Linux) ,for their strengths. To me its not either/or, its both. Whats lacking in one is the others strength.

We have enough chromium variations, we need more choices. I'm more concerned about Firefox. Any FF variation is normally a one-man show, and could in a moments notice disappear.
Tried it, then stopped using it. I even stopped using it on Windows. I prefer Vivaldi instead.

I would never use dd. Instead fsarchiver or CloneZilla. Both backup used sectors only. Much faster, safer than dd. Don't use fsarchiver on ntfs partitions.
