It seems that way. But mine works fine in Ubuntu 12.04 and Windows. 12.10 seems to have problem with it..

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SystemRestore Has been around for a while. There are lot of backup and restore options available currently. But they are not exactly similar to "The System Restore"
It is not that I hate unity. But gnome-shell felt elegant and much more usable for me. I am not very fond of keyboard shortcuts while not using editors. Also in many places unity takes extra clicks....
My very silliness. struct hid_device have a member struct hid_collection *collection, also another member maxcollection which gives total number of parsed collections. All I need to do is access...

Sometimes this fixes the issue for me.
There is a Disk Utility in ubuntu. Locate it in the menu. You can see the partition layout. Although I suggest you install and use gparted if you want to edit the partitions.
Open synaptic package manager if you have it installed. If there is an issue, it would help you by giving direct commands to copy and paste in a terminal..
Never happened to me.. But I always have to hit the bottom left corner of my screen for the launcher to appear..

Ah, you are welcome. One more reason to keep your development tools up to date.
I too found it annoying sometimes, especially when I mount one of my partitions. The notification stays there asking me if I want to open the mount point when it is already open in front of me.
I somehow fell in love with gnome-shell and never returned to Unity. Things are working well for me. Anyway, it is personal. :)
I am using the adb bundled with android-sdk-linux. From time to time I use the one gets build with the source as well. Both work for me without any issue. If you have just copied it from somewhere...
There are a lot of them. If you have a big enough portable hard disk and time dd command can do the work.
There is no difference in installing from a CD or USB drive except, from the USB drive the installation can be faster because of faster data transfer capabilities.
I hope USB debugging is not disabled in your phone. As it is not working with live cd also. Did you try restarting the phone? Is adbd running in the phone?
Screenlets is also an option. I used to use it. Once installed from package manager, you can find it under Applications->Accessories->Screenlets.
Try
$adb kill-server
$sudo adb devices
See if your device gets listed. If so, you can use adb shell. I used to get the same issues without root privileges.
I don't think either a 32 bit windows 7 would detect more.
Friends, I have compiled 2.6.30 kernel some hours before for some experiments. It was successful, and I removed the kernel and associated files as well as grub entries. And I rebooted the system to...
