Yes... That one.
I haven't ever watched Star-Trek, so I don't know how best to answer. I concede defeat :(
Except maybe shields down?
Three has come, and gone. Your pirate powers are nothing against my ninj-osity.
Indeed. Is it not interesting how OMGPP can inspire arguments from beyond the grave? Spooky. Don't worry, I'm sure your posts would not have been any more edifying the second time around ;)
But... I can't.
No, it's fine, I just thought someone might like to know so it could be remedied. Or left alone, that's fine as well.
Just a query: should a normal forum user be able to still view the now defunct OMGPP? It looks like a subforum of "Staff Forums" from the info at the top of the page, but I can still view all the...
Wait for the mighty banhammer ;)
Just speculation, but I've seen such an occurrence on my Dell when I plug the ethernet cable in. I think it might be that plugging it in changes the case's potential and triggers the on switch.
Search for "back up" in Synaptics. That might provide some useful programs :)
In synaptics are there not language support packs? I think it is by installing these that one gets dictionaries. I'm sorry, but I can't remember much more than that.
Log in in the safe session mode and look at xorg as people have suggested. Can't really add any more than that, I'm afraid :(
I know at my (secondary) school one is meant to obtain a key from the IT technicians. Or use something to find the key out ;). But I reccomend talking to the IT department.
If you look at the Fxx keys, one might say numlock. Does one? Or it might have a dedicated key?
No, an old style .doc would be okay. Word 2007 can run in "Compatability mode"
On my Dell Latitude C400 (old :)) numlock is Fn+F4. *shrug*
As people have said: try turning off Numlock. Or maybe your Fn key is stuck down. But try the former first.
Along the bar of option such as User CP etc. there is the "Search" dropdown menu. At the bottom of this is the "Find all your thanked posts" option.
This will find places where other people have...
I doubt it; there's so much, and it all changes so fast. Best just to learn by doing with Linux, I find.
I had a similar problem with 7.04 Xubuntu. After the screensaver kicked in, if I tried to get it going again it would just show a black screen with the white cursor. I solved this by using...
It might be pulseaudio, if the 32-bit Xubuntu was prior to 8.04 (because it used to use ALSA as default).
I can't reccomend one, but searching through synaptics for "matlab" by "Description and Name" might come up with some results. I'm sure I have seen some there :)
I have not the faintest idea :) I would suggest trying to use a different programs to find whether it is a file- or program-related problem. If you're at 640x480, maybe mplayer-nogui (sp?) might be a...
Vector Linux is quite good; a Slackware based system. Faster, perhaps, than Xubuntu. However, Xubuntu has the advantage of not using slapt-get (a total abomination ;)) for package management. The...
