BUMP because I can
Be careful if you're using "catch all" email addresses - a lot more unwanted email is likely to be allowed in.
As others have suggested, take a look at spam filtering options. When I ran my own...
Is "albatross" is the name of one of the devices on your local network? If so, other email providers (e.g. gmail) are unlikely to know what to do with it, they'll be expecting something like...
Ah, yes. I've been aware of some dramas on the forums over the 12+ years I've been lurking. As fascinating as they can be for those not directly involved, any entertainment value they provide is...
I suggest that you indicate on the bug report that it affects you too.
Sorry, I don't have a workaround.
Bring on the coffee!
I initially came to the forum, partly out of curiosity, and partly to search for ideas to help deal with an annoyance (sound not working after a fresh install) and later an...
+1 to the educational value to be found in well-chosen videos on YouTube.
I regularly watch TV, but rarely watch stuff online. Mrs Lisati sometimes uses Youtube on our tired old tube TV, via the set top box we bought to help our TV get digital TV.

Back to sleep, old thread.

I refer you back to post 12 in this thread again - your test emails could be bouncing.
The log entries in post25 tell me that at least some of your test messages are not getting to where they...
I don't understand why you have the following:
mydestination = mail.gmail.com, localhost.gmail.com, localhost, gmail.com
This is likely to get postfix to try to deliver mail for a gmail...
Back to sleep, old thread closed.
The information you posted in post 12 of this thread isn't actually a log entry, but appears to be a non-delivery report ("bounce"), informing you/me that gmail didn't accept a message for delivery....
We use a 32" Sony TV, one of the last CRT-based TVs I recall seeing in the shops. It's several years old, and has a now obsolete analogue tuner. but works well enough for us for now. The set-top box...
Are you seeing anything helpful in the mail logs?
We still use our TV for entertainment purposes. With the advent of digital TV, and 20+ free-to-air stations, there is often (but not always) something that takes our fancy.
Being an older CRT...
Welcome! ):P
Agreed. On more than one occasion, I've managed to trigger a handful of Google alerts when, for one reason or another, I've reset an android device back to factory settings and used the exact same...
I won't name my ISP (Slightly obscure hint: they are a bunch of bright sparks). Aft'er several of my neighbours moved to fibre, speeds I get on my ADSL connection actually improved. Not being into...
"ssh" is a method of "remotely" logging in to one computer from another, which can be useful if you are running a "headless" server (no keyboard or monitor) or if the server is based in another part...
Is this link of some help? (And no, I haven't tried it with a more recent version of Ubuntu)
Thread moved from here to its own thread in General Help.
@lou6: if I have understood your post correctly, you are using a different kernel to the one mentioned in the original thread. Because of...
