I have no more issues. They must have fixed in the latest updates.
I found another work around. Just hit num lock when the issue occurs.
So any suggestions for a mix or playlist with different files?
Same here. Putting my laptop in stand by and turn on again usually fixes it for a few more hours.
Same here, tried similar steps as the OP and I have the same video card as the above poster. This is really an annoying issue. Seems to happen once per day unless I restart..

yeah but FlashVideoReplacer don't work with chrome and I love unity so don't want to disable it since it's so new and interesting to me.

Can't believe this bug was never fixed! It's annoying as hell. I've installed Ubuntu on at least 5 client machines since 9.04 and this keeps happening...5/10 boot ups the panel icons would rearrange...
I guess I'm lucky since flash takes up 50% on mine playing normally but when I go 1080p it eats up 80% and full screen 98%..in windows, it eats up 40% in full screen..I have a core 2 duo with ATI...
