    What is it your trying to install? Maybe it depends upon a newer MySQL?

    Did you lock / pin the versions in synaptic there maybe more than one you need to lock

    Where was your root.disk stored? If your win7 and kept it in your Documents you might be able to use shadow copies

    add a # to the first line
    so it looks like
    #deb file:/home/saurav/kubuntu-desktop-repacked


    You could also add a # to all the deb-src lines if...

    It's due to the space you can use quotes or slash it out. The easiest way is to type
    nautilus /home/dad/Ubuntu[hit tab key]
