    It works for me, but it is a bit of a hassle to edit interfaces by removing the lines pppoeconf added, then reboot and rerun pppoeconf everytime I want to go online.

    Problem not solved. Thanks for replies though.
    Autoconnect is enabled, but once I reboot, I cannot see any network whatsoever.

    I installed 9.04 to replace my buggy Vista installation.
