  1. Re: How to recover after using dd to image the wrong device.

This set me thinking how I might prepare for such a photorec recovery event (other than the main advice to backup).
There are occasions when backups get out of date.

    My search for an indexing...

[ubuntu] Re: updater doesn't work since morning

I tried after reading this and saw the same error. Clicked through anyway and saw a bunch if updates but ending with a failure message.
There might be some failed package in list since I saw...

[ubuntu] Re: "Auto Adjusting ..." window

If you cannot beat it perhaps try making the window disappear?
To do this you need to have a script push the window elsewhere.
xdotool can drive window layers .. but if that does not work you can...

  9. [SOLVED] Re: Copying files from Ubuntu HDD to Windows HDD

Shrink the Windows partition first from within Windows, then use Gparted to create NTFS SHARE partition.

  10. [SOLVED] Re: Copying files from Ubuntu HDD to Windows HDD

I have separate Windows and Ubuntu on different drives. HDD and SSD.

Re: Two questions from a shell noob

There are many ways of orchestrating commands for more advanced scripting.
    Too numerous to list.
But you should focus first on learning solo commands.
Explore other terminals such as Yakuake.

  14. [kubuntu] Re: Multiple monitors and window positions.

Don't know. But another favourite UI automation tool I use (xdotool on steroids) is Actiona which is a GUI.
After creating the MyScript.ascr, run it through
    actexec MyScript.ascr.

    I use this for...

    Re: Sudden drop in performance?

I would also follow the clues. What might have physically changed in a physical relocation in the office relocation?

    etc.

  17. [ubuntu] Re: Newbie question - how to dual boot windows 10 and ubuntu
