Try "sudo apt-get install libusb-dev libglib2.0-dev" and repeat the process
You can try adding "gksudo camera_load.bash" to the gnome startup. You will however, have to enter your password each time on startup. Alternatively, you could add the script to system startup
Download the source as a zip file from the link and extract the folder in it to you r home directory. Then start a terminal from the applications menu and navigate to the folder you just created....
