    Thanks.

    I don't really care for the multi-touch either.

    [all variants] Re: Install linux drivers for ralink rt2870

    No, but I know I can get at least something as 14 MB/s with my wireless device (using Windows Vista). So it should be able to get at least a real 112 Mbit/s. (Yes, it reports to be 135 Mbit/s...

    [all variants] Re: Install linux drivers for ralink rt2870

    From 'iwconfig' yes.
    But I also measured the speed of transferring files across our LAN. It's about 4 MB/s - 6,2 MB/s. Mostly 4.0-4.4 MB/s. It's better than before: about 2,2 MB/s. But it's still...

    Damn, compiled (and installed) after applying the patch, but it showed no improvement of speed. I've still got 135 Mb/s. No 300 Mb/s.

    Ah, I found out how to patch it...

    Download and extract the rt2870 driver. Go to the extracted folder. Then run:

    Now to compile the module...

    Hello colmode. I've followed WiseGuys steps and got 135 Mb/s for my 300N-XR USB.

    Would this patch work for the 300N-XR USB?

    And how do I apply this patch?

    Sorry, correction!:

    I does work! I can now transfer files up to about 6,2 MB/s! :)
    (I was connected via the integrated wireless card and the 300N-XR USB wireless device, and that was a bad 'idea'...

    @WiseGuy1020:

    Using your method, the bit-rate does says 135 Mb/s now instead of 54 Mbps. But it only copies files over our LAN with 54 Mbps speed, or something... It doesn't really go any faster...

    Then just first offer it via the Bittorrent protocol, if it's about bandwidth.
