    Here is another thing you could try...


    sudo ifconfig eth1 up

    That should wakeup your wireless card.
    When you are done, share with us the output of


    sudo ifconfig

    I don't know if this will help, but I have come across a post showing that for some wireless cards that you need to first boot in windows and then reboot in linux for it work.

    eclipse still crashes

    Even with olaf-g's fix, I found that eclipse sometimes crashes while I am debugging.

    I switched to IBM's Java 1.6 64 bit JVM, and Eclipse has been stable since.
