wow alot of people like xfce and lxde i didnt expect that i just find them..... stale and dated but great for netbooks i feel KDE has flair lol

i guess ill go with KDE i like the widgets and its more of a "windows" desktop experience without the windows part

i knew kubuntu was just KDE+ubuntu but was there any advantage it has besides looks and being lightweight

there is a way to make gnome 3 look like gnome 2 its on gnomes website i think under extensions

i personally use kubuntu it runs good on my 2009-2010 laptop
ya i see what you mean i like it for the simplicity and kde was confusing at first i just like the widgets and themes you can use
yes and i select Mandelbrot as my wallpaper then i right click the desktop and select get new Mandelbrot parameters and i dont know were to select them from
in the ubuntu software center there is an app called crossover its only a 15 day trial but you can play it on there it works great for all windows applications
