I would try reinstall ubuntu tomorrow, since it had been acting a little bit strange in other circumstances.

Oh, well. I just think I will do a fresh install of ubuntu tomorrow, and see if that helps.

Yes I've tried to outcomment the cdrom/dvd drive aswell.
