Somehow this remind me of an old DOS game "Covert Action" by Microprose. I love it how you have to "hack" computer terminal to break the code, wiretapping to gain intelligence material and so on.

Thanks, it appears that instead of taking reading from k10temp, the conky config that I have is taking its reading from f71889ed-isa-0500. Don't know why it's so different compared to other distros...
Conky entry for cpu temp:
CPU Freq: ${freq_g} Ghz
CPU Temp: ${hwmon temp 1} C${alignr}
It's around 35-37 in bios, so conky reading in 11.10 is way off. Oh, and as precaution, I have cleaned the cpu fan and heatsink a couple of days ago but the reading still stays the same.

I've noticed for some time that the CPU temperature reading in 11.10 as shown in Conky is higher than 11.04 and also other distros in my PC (Arch & OpenSUSE 12.1). In 11.10, the temperature is around...
I did just that.

No, it was a clean install. But I mainly use Ubuntu Classic session and not Unity there. Don't know if the bug was related to it though...
I guess I've missed the news about exo-utils bugs, but in 11.04, I've installed Thunar (for its batch renamer utility) and didn't experience anything like that.
Infact, 11.04 is still there in...
Because I prefer gnome-shell better?
Too bad it doesn't have bottom panel by default - I still find it's faster to switch between open windows using mouse wheel on the panel.

Many, many, many thanks. Been waiting for this :)
