That does not work. Please read what was written above. Middle button was used as a configurable workaround because the old method did not work.

Ok, tried it on the box that was installed from scratch. Exactly the same symptoms.
GCR is used without my consent and the defaults are just incredibly stupid.

Bug numbers are #1325832 (Enigmail) and #1325833 (GCR).
But I had marked them as Security bugs so I am not sure whether they are publicly visible.
I do have a fresh install machine at home where...
It is only Enigmail. GPG on the commandline works as it should.
Completely irrelevant. Log out / log in does not change it either.
No time for a complete install...

I still do not know why Enigmail uses GCR for GPG password management without asking (appropriate bug report has been opened).
But thanks to some googling I finally found out how to make GCR cache...
Ever since my Xubuntu 14.04 upgrade, I only get asked the PGP passphrase once after reboot.
Having my gpg passphrase cached indefinitely is something I consider a major security hole.
gpg-agent...
Suddenly I no longer can adjust the brightness of my Thinkpad T520 running the latest proprietary nvidida driver.
It used to work just fine (using Option "RegistryDwords" "EnableBrightnessControl=1"...
I have the same problem.
Ever since the install of Xubuntu 14.04 my left mouse button no longer toggles the window minimize/sow on the icons in the window button panel.
Instead, left opens a window...
Hi,
somewhere in the last year the behavior of the cd command in conjunction with CDPATH changed.
Even though "." is the first entry in CDPATH, the local choices are not preferred over stuff from...
Got the same problem...

Nuking the alternatives did the trick.
(now how did it get into that state????)

Hmm, where would I find the run file you mentioned? I only have
ati-driver-installer-11-8-x86.x86_64.run
But that accepts the build option and creates three debs. But when I try to install them,...

Would you have a pointer to packaging for beginners?
I assume I need to start from the ati-driver-installer-11-8-x86.x86_64.run file from ATI.

Hi tista,
only seen your edits today and I am a bit confused.
I assume I need to
dpkg -r r8192ce-pci
and then apt-get install r8192ce-pci ?
edit: I missed the name difference so it was ...
Though I did the reboot dance in-between, this was still an issue.
Later that night after another reboot and some cable based use it worked just fine.
Guess we have to chalk this down to random...
Grrr, suddendly my wireless connection is next to useless.
AP is still the same, no changes there.
Though the signal indicator shows me 4 bars, my pings and other traffic do not got trough.
In...
Oh yes!

On my 11.4 64bit box I also get configure errors from fglrx and fglrx-amdcccle as shown above.
the log has nothing special:
2011-08-12 20:12:52 startup packages configure
2011-08-12 20:12:52...
Moin tista,
Still running stock 11.4 (apart from your network and video driver) here....
But why should the module fail that way? I don't understand the loading error at all....
Funny...
Hmm, why can't I load tp_smapi?
root@pixel:/home/afx# modprobe tp_smapi
FATAL: Error inserting tp_smapi (/lib/modules/2.6.38-11-generic/updates/dkms/tp_smapi.ko): No such device or address...
Overlooked that (me lazy, thinking anything coming in via a repo is plug&play for the masses... ;-)
I actually removed the system module after I had seen the dupe and since then it has been running...
I tried and got a freeze pretty quickly ;-(
Looks like the PPA version does not take care of the older module right?
lsmod|egrep 81
r8192ce_pci 503622 0
rtl8192ce ...
Doooooh.
Having an RPM past, I keep forgetting that on debian systems cfg files still can hang around and be marked in the package listing (dpkg -l output), package is marked as removed but config...
It is not drivers but mapping. Use Settings->Keyboard->shortcuts to set up the missing keys.
