  1. [xubuntu] Re: Window Buttons in panel no longer minimizes on click

That does not work. Please read what was written above. Middle button was used as a configurable workaround because the old method did not work.

  2. Re: [SOLVED] Enigmail / GCR caches passphrase for ever

    I've added it it there.
The bug reports have been set to public now by the admins.

  3. Re: [SOLVED] Enigmail / GCR caches passphrase for ever

Ok, tried it on the box that was installed from scratch. Exactly the same symptoms.
GCR is used without my consent and the defaults are just incredibly stupid.

    cheers

  4. Re: [SOLVED] Enigmail / GCR caches passphrase for ever

Bug numbers are #1325832 (Enigmail) and #1325833 (GCR).
But I had marked them as Security bugs so I am not sure whether they are publicly visible.

I do have a fresh install machine at home where...
  5. Re: [SOLVED] Enigmail / GCR caches passphrase for ever

It is only Enigmail. GPG on the commandline works as it should.

Completely irrelevant. Log out / log in does not change it either.

No time for a complete install...

    cheers

  6. Re: Enigmail caches passphrase for ever

I still do not know why Enigmail uses GCR for GPG password management without asking (appropriate bug report has been opened).

But thanks to some googling I finally found out how to make GCR cache...
  7. [SOLVED] Enigmail / GCR caches passphrase for ever

Ever since my Xubuntu 14.04 upgrade, I only get asked the PGP passphrase once after reboot.
Having my gpg passphrase cached indefinitely is something I consider a major security hole.

    gpg-agent...
  8. Lost brightness adjustment on Xubuntu 14.04 (TP520)

Suddenly I no longer can adjust the brightness of my Thinkpad T520 running the latest proprietary nvidida driver.
It used to work just fine (using Option "RegistryDwords" "EnableBrightnessControl=1"...
  9. [xubuntu] Re: Window Buttons in panel no longer minimizes on click

    I have the same problem.
Ever since the install of Xubuntu 14.04 my left mouse button no longer toggles the window minimize/sow on the icons in the window button panel.
    Instead, left opens a window...

[ubuntu] CDPATH and local directory preference

    Hi,
somewhere in the last year the behavior of the cd command in conjunction with CDPATH changed.

[all variants] Re: ThinkPad X120e/AMD fusion?

Hmm, where would I find the run file you mentioned? I only have
    ati-driver-installer-11-8-x86.x86_64.run
But that accepts the build option and creates three debs. But when I try to install them,...

Would you have a pointer to packaging for beginners?
I assume I need to start from the ati-driver-installer-11-8-x86.x86_64.run file from ATI.

    Hi tista,

only seen your edits today and I am a bit confused.
    I assume I need to
    dpkg -r r8192ce-pci
    and then apt-get install r8192ce-pci ?

edit: I missed the name difference so it was ...
