I'm an Arsenal fan and I hate Chelsea too. But most of all I hate Platini;).
Chelsea deserved to go through that semifinal.

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread

    Nah, Spain didn't deserve it.

They have played rubbish and this game wasn't an exception.
Germany deserved to win the cup based on overall performance. But tonight they didn't have a good game.

The icons are developed using the one canvas work-flow (all icon sizes in one .svg file). Then, I use...

    Re: Galaxium Messenger

You don't need to use sudo and you must leave a space between gedit and /etc.

You can copy and paste the line below to your terminal:

    gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

    Alternatively, you can...

I have seen that "no maya for linux" comment before. I never bothered to reply. Nice you did though.

    Re: Well Done Karmic!

Same here. Everything works perfectly (+ separate x screens work better than jaunty). I always do clean installs to avoid problems (same when I was using windows).

Till now I installed karmic on...
  12. Re: Name the linux projects that most impressed you!

Pretty much everything in FLOSS impresses me.

The latest project that impressed me is FatElf.

Re: Why doesn't Java overtake Mono?

Well you can find some here: http://www.java-apps.org/

The ones I know are: limewire/frostwire, vuze, jdownloader, eclipse, netbeans, visual paradigm

Also OpenOffice uses java a lot. And there...

    Re: Upgrade thoughts

I have been using karmic since alpha and I'm impressed.
It is faster than jaunty. Boots and shuts down really fast.
It has a nice new disk utility.
    OpenOffice starts very fast.
    Network manager...
  16. Re: Ok I've had enough of this lol - what IS so good about Windows 7?

It is being said that it is better than Vista and XP.
But why should I care. I don't use either Vista or XP.

BTW, this is going to be in recurring very soon.

Re: flash x64, gnash, or swfdec?

    What browser do you use?

With firefox, flash x64 works great for me. Never had a single problem.
With opera, it seems that it likes flash to be in /usr/lib/opera/plugins.

Re: Any good Movies out lately?

    You have to define good.

For my taste, the movies mentioned till now are boring (Star Trek, Watchmen) and entertaining (Inglourious Basterds, District9).

The last good movie I saw was "In...

  25. Re: I think KDE 4.3.2 even starts-up faster than Gnome...

I don't get that debate Gnome vs KDE.

I use them both and I like them both. Gnome on desktop, kde on laptop. They are very fast on my machines.
I also use Xfce on a netbook and I like it too.
