    No. I just decided to upgrade to Maverick because it has the 2.6.35 kernel and the 1.0.23 versions of ALSA. If you can get that to go in Lucid then distro should be inconsequential.

    So basically what I did to get it to work was update the kernel to most recent. Update ALSA to 23 and add that line in sound.conf with probe_mask. Who knows why we are selecting those bits.
