    I installed Ubuntu 12.10 recently (fresh install, no upgrade). Since then, when booting, the system drop into a busybox shell, giving an 'initramfs' prompt.

    being a happy chromium user myself my advice would be to stop using ff in 64 bit. but that's no solution, I know

    one difference between the 2 is how they handle flash. ff uses a plugin, chromium...

    depends on what browser you're using: chromium, firefox, other, ...

    try a google search with
    '<name of your browser> ubuntu locate temporary internet files'

    result should be abundant and...

    any problems with another browser (like chromium)?
    can you still access the system in another way (like ssh, ftp, ...)? in other words is it your graphical shell or the complete system that freezes?...
