    It's simply because you don't have to type in the directory path.

    If you work more "graphical" like me, search files in Nautilus it is a nice feature.

    As far as I know displayconfig-gtk needs RandR 1.2 which is includes in XOrg7.3.

    XOrg7.3 will be shipped with Gutsy.

    gtkpod works very well for me!

    Evolution - for mail, contacts and calender
    Firefox - my favorite browser
