Yes, I am having the issue with unity not running correctly. The menu shows up, but when I click on it no submenus show up. Odd. VirtualBox seemless mode works on the same setup.

I have used the hibernate option and have never had to reinstall after. Sometimes on some equipment it doesn't actually hibernate, but never destroyed the whole install. I like Suspend better anyway,...
