  7. Re: Dualboot Ubuntu WiFi much slower than Windows

Can you change your wifi router to use channel 6?
  8. [ubuntu] Re: Can't communicate in ad-hoc mode using rtl8812au

You should ask the maintainer of the github project what the issue might be. I do know that project supports multiple chipsets, the 8812AU, 8814AU, and the 8821AU
  9. Re: Dualboot Ubuntu WiFi much slower than Windows

See the wireless script link in my signature and post results
  10. Re: MiFi router web login is all linux jargon.

Moved to any other OS as I doubt there is a way to determine what exactly the router is running
  11. Re: Dualboot Ubuntu WiFi much slower than Windows

I would try the 11n_disable=8 again and reboot

    [SOLVED] Re: Wi-fi stopped working

Go into BIOS and disable Secure Boot, leave the Secure Boot keys alone
  13. Re: Dualboot Ubuntu WiFi much slower than Windows

I would update to a supported kernel, 4.10 has been out of support for at least a year

    Reboot
  17. Re: Ubuntu no Wifi adapter found - suddenly stopped recognising - Acer Aspire F 15

If those commands reveal nothing I would recommend shutting it down, remove bottom panel, and remove and reinsert wifi card and see if it works again

  19. [lubuntu] Re: Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 Wireless - Wifi Connection stopped working

Are there any switches on the front/left/right sides of the keyboard that may enable/disable wifi? This model appears to be old enough that it should not be affected by the ideapad_laptop module...
  20. Re: rtl8812au DKMS fails on upgrade to 5.0.0-23-generic (18.04.2 LTS)

You are better off using source code from github as the rtl8812au-dkms package changelog shows no update to support the version 5 kernel yet

sudo apt install git build-essential dkms
    git clone...
