i've installed 9.04 server on an old (really old) desktop in the garage
i've set up a script for connecting to our home WEP network already
and installed plait, mpg123, linux-sound-base, alsa-utils...

ok, i've found something called PPCRCD
http://ppcrcd.pld-linux.org/ and it comes with pdisk
which is OSX's commandline partitioning tool
hopefully this will work

it almost worked, except that ubuntu 9.04 ppc live doesn't come
with mkfs.hfsplus (at least not in /sbin) and the ibookG4 won't boot 9.10
does anyone know of anything like parted magic or ubuntu...

i'm pretty sure it does (i installed xfce on a computer using gnome)

do you mean as a theme?
to make it "look" like windows (i'm assuming you mean xp)
