Sorry for the late reply. Been busy.

Notifications are using the same device as music and videos.

I'm actually having the same problem with my Asus eeePC. Hearing the notificatons, but...

The phonon is the only one there..

I had, a couple of days ago both the redwood and another card in that list, but they both disappeared and was replaced by "phonon"..

But, as I said.. The...

Umm..I just found out that my system is playing "notifications" ..

Now, I have no clue at all of what's wrong... o_O

Edit: I've tried Banshee and Amarok. Tried VLC.. No sound at all..

Having problems with getting any sound at all on my Asus X71ja (X77ja -eu version)..

Tried changing from Redwood HDMI to the "internal" speaker with no luck.
I've tried the alsamixer "trick" but...

Changed to WPA2 personal, and it works like a charm :-)

Just installed Ubuntu 11.04 and installed kubuntu.

Have a dualboot with win 7 starter and ubuntu 11.04.

Problem is the wireless networking within kubuntu.

Works perfectly fine with...
