No, not running browser theme other than default, pretty much a stock 64bit 11.10 install running the Gnome Shell. The system font is gray instead of black. I'll look again for the Color Chooser.
Thanks for the reply, no I did not. I saw a reference to it in another post and tried to find it and did not. I looked in the package manager and didn't see it listed.
Anyway to make the system font black and not gray? Running 11.10 and Gnome Shell. Other than that mostly everything else is default. When I type in information in web pages the font is gray...
Same issue, AR9285 on an HP laptop. No fix? I will post the output to those commands from my laptop tomorrow.
Hopefully someone can fix. What I found will work:

I had done this and it worked, switching the stripes.jpg, but after a recent update it does not work. I noticed that after the update stripes.jpg was replaced, so I replaced it again with my custom...

Thanks. I have the gnome-tweek-tool, but I don't remember seeing any options for hinting or antialiasing. I'll look when I get home.
Sadness.....no input....
I did take a look at the Fedora15 live install and I believe the font rendering is better than with Ubuntu 11.04 and gnome3/gnome-shell added.
I have Gnome 3 up and running and have really grown to like it over Unity.
First question, I don't seem to have Appearance Manager anymore, so I can't adjust the font in the theme to 100% black. ...
These settings worked for me as well, THANKS
Yes, I also had to delete the entire depends line. Only changing the libcupsys2 line did not work for me.
Middle clicked worked....it's magic!!!!
This is corrected by applying the --force-architecture change to the install.sh files
C_FUNC_show_and_exec "sudo dpkg --force-architecture -iG $c_fpath_pkg_name"
If you look through the various...
Well dang...I'll give that a try, thanks for the input. I'll try this evening, don't have access to my Ubuntu box at the moment.
Ahhhh, a feature. Can I turn off this feature? :)
Unity is growing on me so I am not a hater....lol
Question, is there a way that when I click on a Unity button, it will launch "another" window if one of that program is already running? Example:...

I used the MP560 printer and scanner set.
This worked for me, MP560 11.04 64 bit. Only thing is I had to remove the entire Depend line from all .deb files referenced here
