  1. Re: 20.04 LTS bootable USB - keyboard and general freezing problems

Yes -or- the open-source nouveau driver that always runs in a live session doesn't correctly support your graphics card.
  2. Re: 20.04 LTS bootable USB - keyboard and general freezing problems

This ^^^ or you need to use 'nomodeset' to run the live session. Installing the system and then Nvidia drivers -or- selecting the option to install third-party drivers, firmware and codecs during...

[ubuntu] Re: Need Help Wireless USB Adapter

If already installed then you may need to disable Secure Boot in UEFI as this settings prevents certain drivers to load.

[ubuntu] Re: Need Help Wireless USB Adapter

With an alternative internet connection (Ethernet, USB tethering, ...), please try:

    sudo apt update
    sudo apt full-upgrade
    sudo apt install rtl8812au-dkms
  8. Re: While trying to upgrade from 18.04 to 20,04 error occurs

    @pvd4

Very likely NOT the exact same problem. Please open your own thread. And no, it won't make a difference.
  9. [ubuntu] Re: Not understanding or otherwise: I cant burn an iso file (19.11)

Good for you. That means that you never inadvertently select the wrong destination and run DD. It won't ask questions nor show warnings, it jus does what it was (wrongly) told to do, hence the...

[ubuntu] Re: Failure to boot ubuntu‏

"volume corrupt" suggests exactly that, not any bootloader problem that could have been eventually corrected by Boot Repair. Using Boot Repair in this scenario only made things worse.

    Very likely...
  11. Re: 20.04 experienced an internal error

sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade
  12. Re: Grub fatal error Ubuntu 20.04 nvme

You probably have found out this by now but for the sake of completeness: In most HP UEFI systems users press ESC at the boot time. In the next menu users choose F10 to access UEFI settings.
  13. [ubuntu] Re: Not understanding or otherwise: I cant burn an iso file (19.11)

A safe and very easy to use tool is Balena Etcher. It works exactly as the main page's animation suggests.
  14. [ubuntu] Re: Can I restore files to a different Ubuntu version ?

    It shouldn't be a problem.

The software is the same albeit a newer version but fundamentally nothing has changed. It should recognize the old backup.

Re: Dual monitors on a mini PC

It depends. USB-C alone no but if it has thunderbolt support then yes.
MiniPCs typically don't have it. Check with the vendor; if not mentioned then assume it hasn't.

Re: Dual monitors on a mini PC

    Welcome.

Any miniPC (or any other form factor for that matter) with a dual video output will do. All graphics chipsets in miniPCs are well supported.
  18. Re: Installation of Ubuntu on dell 3593

    Welcome.

Why do you think you need Legacy/CSM/"BIOS" options?
Ubuntu standalone or in dual-boot should be installed in UEFI mode. If dual-booting it actually must be because any preinstalled...
  19. Re: Grub fatal error Ubuntu 20.04 nvme

  20. Re: Grub fatal error Ubuntu 20.04 nvme

    Welcome.

You'd be installing in UEFI mode so you also need a small FAT32 partition (~300MB should be enough for a lot of OSes) at the beginning of the drive that is defined as first priority in...

That is because your external IP didn't change. What changes with a VPN is the IP seen by the sites you're visiting.
  25. Re: Can't Open Gnome Tweaks tool in Lubuntu

    Welcome.

The current Lubuntu runs LXQt, previous versions LXDE.
Gnome Tweaks is exclusively for the Gnome desktop environment.

My suggestion is for you to open a new thread asking how to do...
