  1. [SOLVED] Re: Which Windows partitions can I delete?

Nope nope nope. Don't do it. Windows will break. Just squish the MS Basic Data for another 50 GB and move everything after it to the left, then expand the Linux partition. This has been proven to...
  2. [SOLVED] Re: 'UBUNTU SOFTWARE' doesn't allows me to install 'TELEGRAM DESKTOP' (ERROR)

It is already working on it hard - snaps can be silently installed or updated in the background. Just wait.

Judging by the time it should already be done.

Re: I think my Linux experiment is... Over.

Cough... Windows migrated to the NT kernel years ago. And became much worse. You can't even play DOOM on the Windows 10. And dosbox runs smoother on Ubuntu.
  4. Re: Boot stuck at: finished set console scheme.

Let it sit for an hour - it will right itself out.
Connect it to the Internet (Ethernet) and just let it cloud-init.

It worked for me, and should for you.

After it boots, share what does...

[other] Re: Can I use Ubuntu on my windows 10

    You mean Dual-boot?
When you turn on your PC, you get to choose between OS'es.

Or you mean "Press a button inside Windows, and an Ubuntu window will prop up"?

    Please clarify
  6. [ubuntu] Re: How to turn off USB ports when computer is shut down

    Yeah, that's what I meant.
  7. [ubuntu] Re: How to turn off USB ports when computer is shut down

This is not an ubuntu question - no ubuntu is active when the PC's down.
But here is how you do this:
Reboot to grub. Use UEFI firmware settings. That's it. I don't know what your BIOS and UEFI...
  8. [xubuntu] Re: How to modify Xubuntu 20.04 Live USB with persistence created with Rufus.

Hey, using a LiveUsb to do stuff is suboptimal. It should be used for just servicing and installing Ubuntu, not running it.
You can just install it on a USB drive, with the custom partitioning...
  9. Re: Why can't I see my text file changes?

What text editor are you using? There most definitely should be a reload button.

Re: 20.04 Lack of space on Root

Previously people spoke just about diagnostics and never about treatment. I will solve that.

Here are the things you might want to do:

    # !!SHOULD BE RUN AS ROOT!!

    # Try to...
  12. Re: How to Reinstall Ubuntu 20.04 without affecting original data

Yes, I've had an experience reinstalling w/o formatting, and it fixes stuff. This most definitely keeps all apps and data. Be wary that stuff might break. For me it was just gnome-terminal, so if you...

  14. Re: Warning! The 195.86 GiB filesystem mounted at / has only 656.12 MiB of free disk

Use a file editor, preferrably nano because of its simplicity.
    Just enter
nano <filename>, then you edit it, then press Ctrl+S Ctrl+X to exit, and you're good. You should probably remove all the...
