  1. Re: Fixing audio on Ubuntu 20.04 | ASUS VIA VT1708S

What is? I only see one link to alsa info in your old thread.
  2. Re: Everything I open is being displayed partially off-screen

Try creating another user. Does it have the same problem?

From screenshots, it looks like resolution is correct and the panels are still properly aligned to edge. I really doubt it's a cable...
  3. Re: Fixing audio on Ubuntu 20.04 | ASUS VIA VT1708S

Swearing and duplicating threads will not get your problem fixed faster. https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2448359&p=13978131

Now that you have reinstalled, get a new copy of the alsa...

Re: exporting to ape with Audacity

This gives the same error 1002 - Invalid Input
I don't think 'mac' can take input from stdin
  6. [SOLVED] Re: Issue with wxWidgets / wxGTK libs in (K)ubuntu 20.04 Focal

You need to remove all of the old files, probably by running 'sudo make uninstall' in the source directory where you ran 'sudo make install'
  7. [SOLVED] Re: Issue with wxWidgets / wxGTK libs in (K)ubuntu 20.04 Focal

Did you ever remove the old version you built? It looks like it is trying to find the old version of wxwidgets (gtk2 version) and that was removed in 20.04, so you are probably trying to run the...

Re: exporting to ape with Audacity

1002 = invalid input file (I tried it in Ubuntu 20.04 VM and got the same thing. At least I was able to get 'mac' working as its own command.)

"mac" encoder doesn't seem to like input from stdin....

Re: exporting to ape with Audacity

    Here's how I read it:
    1. The path to the program

    mac

    2. If the program syntax requires it, space then the infile command
Not/Applicable, since mac does not need "-i" like ffmpeg, for example....

Re: exporting to ape with Audacity

Make sure 'mac' works as a regular command first. Here in Debian sid, it just segfaults, so I can't really test it.
It looks like you are trying to use two input files (- is stdin). Try:

    mac -...
  13. [SOLVED] Re: No sound in minecraft v1.16.1, Error initializing SoundSystem

    Should be "drivers=pulse"
    Also, check output of openal-info

    sudo apt-get install openal-info

  14. [lubuntu] Re: Will this old hardware work (mac/powerpc)

I don't think I'd use Lubuntu for a PowerPC. LxQT is heavier than lxde, and Ubuntu doesn't officially support PPC from what I can tell.
    I'd try Debian:...

    Re: Missing audio files.

It would help if you could tell us how you did that. If you don't know, neither do we.
  16. Re: HD Audio not available to be picked from sound settings

Did you actually make/make install that? Sorry, but I really have no idea what you did there. Also, it seems strange that you're using the original -26 kernel that came with the 20.04 ISO. Do you not...

  18. Re: HD Audio not available to be picked from sound settings

What is that and where did you get it? If it's from 2006, there's no way it's going to work with a modern kernel if it's an actual kernel module.
Anyway, the kernel already contains the correct...
  19. [kubuntu] Re: 20.04 greater than 5.4.0-39 boot stuck on text screen no gui

If you can get to a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F1/F2), you should look at the logs in this case.

    journalctl -b
    cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | more
  20. Re: How do I install the proprietary AMD video drivers in Ubuntu 20.04

In addition to above suggestions, you may want to try enabling OpenGL 4.4 and see if that helps. For example:

  21. Re: How do I install the proprietary AMD video drivers in Ubuntu 20.04

Read it again. That is for higher-powered discrete cards. It's suggesting Kaveri (A#-7000 series) for integrated graphics.

  24. Re: How do I install the proprietary AMD video drivers in Ubuntu 20.04

  25. Re: How do I install the proprietary AMD video drivers in Ubuntu 20.04

I don't know why performance on Minecraft is poor, but I can tell you that you're barking up the wrong tree with proprietary drivers:
