    sudo gedit /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf
    and setting one (i cant remember it) parameter to true
    and then
    killall nm-system-settings
    it dosent work...

    so this is what happen i was updating the system and electricity went out so i cancel the download and close the update manager..when electricity is back i re-select some of the packages for update...

    as mentioned in previous posts you can use damn small linux and one good thing is that once u install Advanced Packaging Tool (APT) you can install packages from debian repository.
