    Re: Old shipit CDs

I have 9:04, it just happen to break inside my CD/DVD drive just yesterday.
Good thing I had unofficial copies laying around that I burned myself. Do you really want a 9:04 broken CD?

    Re: OpenShot

OpenShot looks really good, I have heard about OpenShot before and never have really used it for a few reasons:

1: Webcam isn't compatible with Ubuntu
2: Don't have any videos to edit
    3: Can't...

    Re: Light Peak/Thunderbolt Technology Discussion

Yea, great to have technology you can't use for mouths, if you are lucky!

I reckon this could overtake USB, because you can use it for audio, video and data, and it is faster than USB3. Wise choice...
  5. Re: What is happening to desktop enviornments?

I like the desktop being uncluttered, as the same as I like signitures to be sort. Uncluttered = less time scrolling down the current program you are using therefore saving time.

    Why would you...

Re: Use ubuntu box as a heater?

Personally, I don't recommend using your PC as a heater, doing so will cut it's lifetime dramatically. Go and by an electric one.

This isn't recommended at all but: Take out any fans, play the...

Re: I just ran Android on my Samsung NC10

So now your phone isn't a phone, hope you have a spare one that you can use for emergency's.

Can you dual boot your old phone OS and Android? I hope so, so you can make those important calls.
  9. Re: Does anybody use the preyproject for laptop tracking

Just had a quick look, looks interesting, wouldn't mind testing it but don't have 2 devices around so I might try doing it in an VM.

Re: Disposing of old computer parts?

Sell them on Craig's list or eBay, might as well make some cash form them if your not going to use them.
  11. Re: Angry birds coming to a Ubuntu software centre near you!

Title is misleading, they never said it will come to Ubuntu they said MAY/MAYBE (in other words might) come to Ubuntu.

I think it should have might in the title.

O and angry birds has just been...

Re: ubuntu lego computer!! oh yeah !!! :~)

I am not sure 800 1x4 lego bricks will enough for a pc case. I guess it depends on how big the computer parts are.

But I wish you the best of luck, your going to have to make room for the ports...

Re: What's The Ubuntu Mouse Like

    Agreed

I would if I could, also the price is rather pricey since you can buy a normal mouse for much less. On another note I am worried what it would do to my hand in the long...
  25. Re: My business website - first impressions please

It looks odd not being in the centre of the screen. The shadows look a little bit inaccurate (you have shadows pointing out of nowhere).
