    Re: session load very slow

You were showing the critical-chain on boot up, so on that note removing quiet, splash might reveal some error while booting.

    Re: session load very slow

    Check output of
journalctl -b Look for anything suspicious. Also edit out "quiet" and "splash" to see where it hangs up

  7. Re: Now that MS Edge (stable) is available on Linux, will you use it?

I tried it when on beta. I liked it once I figured out how to remove bing and the home page junk. I obviously use it on my Windows store, but now I'm using either Firefox and/or Chrome. I'll stick...

[ubuntu] Re: Tiny Firefox cursor after 21.10 upgrade?

You could try Nightly, see if that helps, and yes 21.10 now has Snap for Firefox. I removed Snap and all its children and use Nightly instead.

    That's how I install it.

Its hard to find the latest, but "ungoogled-chromium_93.0.4577.82_1.vaapi_linux.tar.xz" works like firefox, in that you install into a folder
"/opt" , then copy the .desktop to autostart.

Re: Firefox Snap as Default in 21.10

Hardware acceleration is still there under Performance , and you can still change "Content process limit". Also vaapi is still an option at about:config.

Re: Firefox Snap as Default in 21.10

As a test I downloaded "firefox-92.0.tar.bz2", purged installed FF. Then expanded the bz2 file into a folder, and ran it. Don't need a deb file. Don't need no Stinking Snap!
