  2. Re: Z-Code interpreter with support for Umlauts?

    Looking at
    man frotz

    frotz -p somegame

Sadly, this doesn't support the umlauts, but puts the right letters, rather than a "?"

There are many ports listed on the frotz page, including other...

    Press F1 in mednafen.
It will list the common hotkeys.

For mapping the player 1 controller press

Then it will cycle through directions and buttons (just press the key or...
  4. Re: bsnes 0.048 (Super Nintendo Emulator) released!

I pressed Esc, I normally don't use the menus much after initial setup, (which is why I have no problem when I use commandline driven emulators...)

So that "no-auto-shrink" is a bug then?
    Are...

    Re: Computer Glasses

I left a link in my post, just a little tongue-in-cheek humour (glasses equipped with a computer, computer glasses... ;) )

Anyway, doesn't XP offer different theme options, higher contrast and...

    Re: Computer Glasses

This was a misleading post title. :(

Anyway, lots of good advice in the thread.

I'd like to throw in changing the color scheme to a...
  12. Re: What fashion do you use to play your games?

Native games (gnome mines and neverball mostly) or emulation/interpreters.

Re: Price for a second-hand laptop?

Again, thank you for the reply.

I just want to see a proper study that invalidates these reported ones. Or an example of how the data is being misrepresented in these news reports. I'm genuinely...

  18. Re: FCEUX - Mouse cursor will not go away

I had run into a similar bug with mednafen about a year ago. However, I am fairly sure X11 or my intel drivers at the time were to blame.

    Re: Commodore 64 Emulators

That is sad. Hopefully you've at least enjoyed some SID files with audacious?

    Re: Thinking of switching

Well, I haven't encountered it myself (I wiped Windows clean off 4 years ago...) but Windows needs to be de-fragmented most likely.

  21. Re: bsnes 0.048 (Super Nintendo Emulator) released!

I like this "lynx like" theme.
