my problem is tha I need to sync the yast svn somehow :(
yeah but first i want to create an automatic build server with svn sync of the yast svn and that probably will take some time.
then i can image yast4ubuntu being listed as an ubuntu 3d party...
okay, ncurses seems to work too.. thanks for the kind help of the novell guys..
debs are available on http://rapidshare.de/files/31571341/yast4ubuntudebs0-000000001.tar.gz.html
its a tar.gz archive.. the debs should be installed at the same time with dpkg -i *.deb for...
yeah, i am currently waiting for the debian mainteaner of hwinfo to fix a hwinfo problem.. it detects every pci device as an isdn adapter. the user module works fine already, i will see if i can...
I got the yast2-gtk code from svn, created the debian dir with debhelper and modified it a little bit, built it, changed line 14 in ycc.sh to
module=`/usr/bin/zenity --title "Yast Control Center"...
Okay, I got the YaST GTK module running, too:
The thing on the second screenshot is the Qt one. :) I am currently trying to get the GTK one working, too. Maybe I have to contact Ricardo tomorrow since I stuck.
I do not want to make any...
Yeah, I have it currently starting in ~ 1 second.. The user module starts in ~ 5 seconds :) I was amazed of the speed since I used SuSE a long time ago, too.
Here is a new screenshot, I just got...
You muddle up RPM with YaST!
Martin
It's real :)
I think that porting yast and getting the functions implented in Ubuntu is nearly the same:
- Getting it to compile with Ubuntu
- Make it work with Ubuntu
Getting the functions sounds easier...
...too late
wait, i didn't plan to get away from apt, it should stay of course. you are complaining about rpm, and i can fully agree with you. it is really slow.
but in my opinion yast itself...
Hey guys,
maybe you heard of yast4debian some time before. The project tried to port YaST to debian, but sadly the developers didn't have enough time and ressources so the project had been stopped....
Please send you feedback to michael.vogt@ubuntu.com , I'm not sure that he reads in the forums..
Thanks
sorry.. I do not know what to do then.. :-|

As I said. Since you do not start WoW with the cedega -config option you have to edit
~/.cedega/Dot TransGaming/config
I think
martin
It should be displayed at the left top of the game.
Are you sure that you edited the correct file? When you do not tell cmdcedega which profile it should use then cedega uses the Dot Transgaming...
Open the file config which is usally stored in ~/.cedega/NAME, for example ~/.cedega/World of Warcraft.
search for
"ShowFPS" = "N"
change to
"ShowFPS" = "Y"
system usage:
cedega version: 5.1
engine version: 5.1.2
glxgears fps (1280x1024):
wow works fine for me under dapper with cedega and with
geforce 5200
athlon xp 3000+
1gb ram
I'd like to see Ubuntu supporting CNR but please, do not install it as an Ubuntu standard application and please, do not create an icon like "Install CNR or CNR" in the Ubuntu default install.
...
Just send him the files ~/dist-upgrade.log and ~/dist-upgrade-apt.log and tell him what error message(s) you got. His email adress is michael.vogt at ubuntu.com
Hey,
I play Warcraft III with Cedega but German umlauts do not work. French umlauts work.
Is there a workaround available to fix it?
Thanks,
Martin
I wanted to try your script but:
I can't get it :-?
Could you please fix it?
Thanks,
Martin
