No, but the screen changes resolution, and the top panel is on top of the game area. Once, after I exited the game, the Unity sidebar only filled half the height of my screen.

At least since Firefox 7, now Firefox 8, Torbutton hasn't been compatible with that version of Firefox. Tor has been permanently enabled in Firefox, and I don't know how to switch it on and off...

Being that the two files "ubuntu" and "Ubuntu" might be anything and not related at all because Linux makes a clear distinction based on the case of the letters.

It's actually a little ironic in the case of Ubuntu, because Linux cares about the capitalization of filenames while Windows don't.
