In /etc/snort/threshold.conf, change the 4 digit number after 'sig_id' to 1852. That should solve your problem.

Worked great, and now I can tilt my mouse wheel left and right to go back and forward in Firefox, hurrah!

For those trying to get this guide working in Dapper Drake, use the following in your xorg.conf instead of the original -

Install version 1.200, and choose OS 6, and then version 6. After it's installed, you can upgrade to the newest version from within Webmin (Webmin --> Webmin Configuration --> Upgrade Webmin).
